About Us
Lylewood is a Church of Christ based 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Our Story
Lylewood Christian Camp was founded in 1966 by Arch and Edwina Lyle, who generously donated thirteen acres of land overlooking the Cumberland River near Clarksville, Tennessee. Their vision was to create a Christian camp where young people could grow spiritually, form lasting friendships, and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation. Over the years, the camp has expanded its facilities, including modern cabins and an updated dining hall, thanks to the dedication of numerous volunteers. Today, Lylewood continues to honor the Lyles’ legacy by providing a nurturing environment for spiritual development and community building.
Spiritual Growth
Encourage campers to deepen their relationship with God through worship, prayer, and studying Scripture in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Community Building
Foster meaningful relationships among campers, staff, and leaders, emphasizing the values of teamwork, respect, and compassion.
Character Development
Inspire campers to grow in integrity, responsibility, and kindness by teaching Christ-centered values through daily activities and lessons.
Meet Our Board of Directors
Lylewood Christian Camp is governed by a Board of Directors, faithful members of the Church of Christ. These men and women work together to oversee the operations of the camp throughout the year.
