About Camp

Lylewood Christian Camp is nestled in the hills along the Cumberland River in Indian Mound, Tenn. Established 50 years ago, camp has changed in many ways, and in many other ways, remains the same.

Central to camp is the main building, a large sturdy structure that houses a full-service kitchen and storage facilities. The lower level also houses a spacious dining room and recreation area suitable for indoor activities in addition to regular meals. The covered rooftop reaches ground level and provides seating for group devotionals and ample space for games and activities. And what campground would be complete without an in-ground swimming pool?

The Director’s Cabin hosts a spacious room perfect for the director and his family, providing necessary privacy and comfort. Adjacent to the director’s living quarters is a large single room for cooks and other support staff. Both rooms include full bathrooms, air conditioners and space heaters. The downstairs rooms serve as extra storage for camp supplies.

The camp is conveniently divided to accommodate both girls’ and boys’ cabins and provides much-needed privacy when necessary. Two cabins are located on each side of the campground with both upper and lower rooms. The cabins sleep approximately 15 campers and counselors each and have two full bathrooms in each cabin. The eight cabins each have air conditioning to provide comfort during the summer months and space heaters for the cooler spring and autumn months. Typically, they camp is closed for the winter.

Lylewood is available to church groups and campus ministries and groups to rent by the week or weekend. Rates are negotiable. Please contact us for more information on renting camp for your youth group or social club.
