LESSON THEME
The Book of Psalms has provided a voice for God’s people to come together and worship Him. But the psalms are much more than a guide for worship. The psalms serve as incredible examples of how we can communicate in relationship with God. They show us how we can reach to God. This summer’s camp theme of “REACH: Connecting with God in the Psalms” will consider how we can reach out to God and how He reaches back to us as we seek to experience a greater connection with our Creator. Psalm 36:5 reminds us “Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies”. As we reflect on His love for us, campers will explore examples of reaching up to God, reaching out to God, reaching for God’s presence, and reaching beyond the present to remember times God acted boldly in their lives. We hope to see YOU at Lylewood Christian Camp this summer and help us “reach” out & invite everyone you know to join us!
Come and join us for a weekend of fun, food, Bible, and FRIENDS.
CAMP REGISTRATION
Camper Cost: $165/week. You can pay online at the completion of your online registration. Lylewood has a history of NOT turning away any camper for financial reasons. If your family is financially challenged to pay for a week of camp, please come anyway. Quietly let our registration table staff know when you are checking in and that’s all that is needed. Having said that, this continues to be possible because donors sponsor campers. If you have the desire to contribute to the camper sponsorship funds, you may contribute to the George Shelton Memorial Camper Sponsorship fund. Many of you remember that George Shelton was the first person to greet campers at the registration table for many years in the past. George always appreciated that some of his own camper years were made possible because of donations and he made sure to continue that for others during his adult years serving camp. His legacy continues.
VOLUNTEERS
It’s impressive to think that Lylewood has always been 100% volunteer staffed for all of these years. Finding staff can be challenging, especially for the week long summer camp sessions. We still have some counselor spots to fill for high school week. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the volunteer application ASAP. You can contact Cathy Mimms at 931-216-7423 for more information.
