2023 Lylewood Spring Retreats

Retreat Dates and Directors

April 21-23 for Middle School and High School (6th-12th grades)
Co-Directors: Noah Eastland & Dale Murray

April 28 – 30 for Elementary (2nd-5th grades)
Director: Aaron Johnson

Middle/High Theme

As Lylewood is a place to learn about and worship God, we have decided to harmonize the two together. Therefore, our theme this spring will be Hymns for Him, a study of characteristics of our God through the songs we sing to praise Him. The weekend will be full of singing learning and plenty of fun mixed in. Come enjoy time with old friends and create new ones as well, as we sing Hymns for Him. Our returning co-directors will be Noah Eastland and Dale Murray. Both have previously been camp counselors and directors at Lylewood and have a great rapport with campers. They are both from the Stroudsville Church of Christ.

Elementary Theme

Aaron Johnson has been a frequent camp director for many years, and he’s also the youth minister from Pegram Church of Christ.  Aaron wasn’t ready to announce the theme just yet, but rest assured that whatever it is will contain a good Bible message that will resonate with this age group.  Aaron has definitely proven to be a camper favorite director over the years.

Come and join us for a weekend of fun, food, Bible, and FRIENDS.

Camper Regisration is only $55, but keep reading…

The Spring Retreats have traditionally been “Bring a Friend for Free” and this year is no exception. Invite a friend who has never experienced Lylewood and he/she can join you at camp for the weekend for FREE.  We will have fun while we study how to build, maintain and expand our Christian relationships.  Don’t have someone to invite?  Then by all means, come and make some new friends at Lylewood. You’ll be glad you came.

Camper check-in will be on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00pm.  Campers, bring your paper Bible and other supplies that can be seen on the FAQ page.

Spring 2023 Volunteer Workday

Thank you so much to all of those who showered Lylewood Camp with some love and hands-on improvement work.  We had 25 volunteer helpers and it made a big difference in getting the camp property ready for Spring retreats.  Several of us started with a good breakfast at the Lylewood Inn Bed and Breakfast.  After that, lots of leaves were removed, plumbing fixed, cabins cleaned, general organizing, and more.

We do still have some incomplete readiness work to complete.    On Saturday April 15, we’ll be doing some final preparations.  If you are able to help that day, please contact Andy Cameron at 931-206-5987 or just show up at camp.   Thanks for the continued support.
