Retreat Dates and Directors
April 22-24 for Middle School and High School (6th-12th grades)
Co-Directors: Noah Eastland & Dale Murray
April 29 – May 1 for Elementary (2nd-5th grades)
Director: Aaron Johnson
Middle/High Theme: The weekend’s theme will be centered around Proverbs 12:15: “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.” This weekend will be a hoot! We will be hearing from our O.W.L.s, Older Wiser Leaders, about advice they wish someone would have told them as a Christian teenager. The weekend will include lessons, fellowship, singing, and lots of fun! Come to the Lylewood Spring Retreat, you never know WHOOO will show up. Our co-directors will be Noah Eastland and Dale Murray. Both have previously been camp counselors at Lylewood and have also been active in the Valley View Camp. They are both from the Stroudsville Church of Christ.
Elementary Theme: “Camp Minecraft: Build Each Other Up.” Veteran camp director and youth minister, from Pegram Church of Christ, Aaron Johnson, will be leading the Elementary retreat. The weekend’s theme will be based upon 1 Thessalonians 5:11. We will spend time being built up by God’s truth and learning to build each other up in the process. We will incorporate games and activities that are centered around the theme of Minecraft. We will also learn to “Beware” of the creeping messages that try to deceive us and destroy all that God is trying to build.
Come and join us for a weekend of fun, food, Bible, and FRIENDS.
Camper Regisration is only $45, but keep reading… The Spring Retreats have traditionally been “Bring a Friend for Free” and this year is no exception. Invite a friend who has never experienced Lylewood and they can join you at camp for the weekend for FREE. We will have fun, while we study how to build, maintain and expand our Christian relationships. Don’t have someone to invite? Then by all means, come and make some new friends at Lylewood. You’ll be glad you came.
Camper check-in will be on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Campers, bring your paper Bible and other supplies that can be seen on the FAQ page.
